Proceed via Kandy to Ramboda on the sixth day stopping to take in the city. See the vibrant sights at the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Explore the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, an enthralling space full of splendour.
Travel to Ella on the most picturesque train trip from Nanu Oya on day seven. Along with gorgeous mountains and glittering waterfalls, you will pass quaint villages and quiet towns.
The following three days will be filled with adventure. Start by hiking to Little Adam’s Peak which is lovely and fun and offers stunning views of Ella. Next visit the Nine Arches Bridge, a breathtaking work of art that makes for a great photo opportunity. Proceed to Arugam Bay for some exhilarating water sports after that.
On this thrilling journey the next destination is Yala National Park. This park which is considered to be the oldest in Sri Lanka is home to the largest population of leopards. Other animals can be seen including crocodiles, buffalos, deer and elephants.
Visit the largest elephant congregation in Udawalawe National Park on the twelfth day. There are large herds of elephants to be seen as you walk through this savannah. Other species of animals and birds can be found within this location. Encounter them as you continue on your exploration.
Go to Unawatuna and relax on the beach on day thirteen. You should spend the next day seeing the sights like the Galle Dutch Fort which has been preserved to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, head to Mirissa for an excursion that includes whale watching. Ride a bicycle through the village to discover more about it.
