Overview
Visit the prominent locations of the cultural triangle where you will be endowed with knowledge of the culture, history and heritage of Sri Lanka. Take part in excursions to Sigira and Kandy where you will see religious monuments and ancient locations.
Day 01
On your way to Sigiriya after being picked up from the airport, you will stop at Dambulla to visit the Cave Temple. Here you will see the stunning views of murals covering the walls and ceilings which date back over 2000 years. Following this stop, make your way to Sigiriya to check in to your lodging.
Day 02
Enjoy a filling meal in the morning to prepare for the adventurous climb of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Head to this location that is sought by both locals and tourists where you will climb the fortified kingdom. View the frescoes that align the walls as you climb higher. Once on top, be amazed by the stunning scenery that spans as far as the eyes can see. Come across the throne of the thing and the many other remnants of this bygone time. After this thrilling adventure, make your way to Kandy to spend the night.
Day 03
Kandy City is a perfect blend of modern and historical as it is filled with architecture that is both novel and spans decades back. Visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic to receive morning blessings and explore the vast grounds of the temple, including the museum. After lunch, head to Colombo, a vibrant city of modernity. Stop at the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where you will come across stunning picturesque views of the flowers and trees that adorn the garden. Arrive in Colombo where you will check in to your stay.
Day 04
In the morning, explore the city of Colombo. Filled with stunning architecture and buildings that span high up in the air, this is a great location to go shopping. Sample the various foods that are offered here as you stroll along the streets. Once it is time, head to the airport for departure.
